The 12th International Poster Triennial in Toyama 2018 - 'Rhythm of Ink'

Ink Rhythm 墨奏

Chinese Ink Brush has more than thousand years of history, it is one of the representative essences of traditional Chinese aesthetics. In the above poster, there is a Chinese word 墨 (Ink) written in ink brush style, at the same time, the movement and the rhythm of the brush strokes are illustrated by tiny graphic stitches in fluorescent color printing, which tactfully suggests the involvement of Western artistic elements. Ultimately, it aims to depict the East and West orchestration in contrast aesthetics.
